Runelite is done!  (mostly)

Pretty happy with the final result, despite having to cut tons of content that was originally planned.  Currently there are 10 enemies, 6 runes, and ~15 items.  The spell crafting system is a little basic, mostly just changing typing and aoe/range/damage but I did manage to get 1 effect in there with the force rune which adds knockback to the spell.  Items are very limited in what they can affect, mostly just HP, and weapon damage, with some potions instantly evoking runes.  Level gen is probably the area where I am least satisfied, and coincidentally spent the most time on.

Things that I liked:

The art!  I think the tileset, creatures and items are all really cohesive and just.. pleasant to look at!  Chris' and my art also meshed really well especially within the tiny resolution of the tiles.

The transitions and actions.  The individual creature turns, and the simple motions on each action feel charming and help me identify whats happening quickly.

Idea.  I wasn't sick of the concept at the end so thats good!

Things that I want to Change:

Runes and Progression. the original intent was for the player to gain runes slowly, either by finding them or through some level up system.  Same for the max # of evocation slots.  There are as many other effects I wanted to implement such as buffs /  shape modifiers that just did not make it in.

Items and Stats, currently there are far to few variables to interact with.  I planned on having resistances to reduce damage to force you to try different spells, and staves with "pre evoked" runes that always are active allowing you to cast larger spells easier.

Creatures, again there isn't enough variety in the function of them currently.  All but 2 just spot the player and chase.  They have different aggro ranges so it feels slightly different.  I'd like for more to have their own unique actions as well as enemy mages that you can see evoking their own runes and casting spells.

The level.  Needs.More.Props.  Would love to make more tilesets too. And little things like door placement could be improved alot too.  Also the ending is very rushed, it needs something like a unique area and a boss ideally.
