Next Level Update


Synergies have been improved and now can reach a New 3rd Tier for ever more powerful effects.  Additionally items have been buffed to make some of the weaker ones more viable as well as to increase  the overall difference in power level between rarities.  Tempering items will improve many of their unique abilities now too.

General

  • Mabek HP progression buffed to 180/400/800 from 150/350/700
  • Emitter’s Feedback changed to deal immediate damage (30% Int)  when an enemy casts instead of applying Poison (20% Int).
  • Synergies Can now go up to tier 3, and most have been rebalanced to be stronger
  • To allow these higher tiers to be reachable a few monsters have gained more synergies from evolving. Seras Flanking Manuever gives Tactician, Parra Windwall gives Elemental, Strigeye Ensnare & Gheist Haunt gives Haunted, Tuskal Fortuitous Immunity & Tizik Storm Chaser give Lucky, Chip always has Lucky, Slagg Slimelord & Mudgill Hunter’s Quarry give Saboteur, Mudgill Feeding Frenzy gives Nature, Gora Rugged Bark & Mabek Punish gives Guardian, Scutter Deep Cuts gives Tenacious.
  • Synergy Activation Popup now displays which tier you are on.
  • Elite Battles now always drop an item, and give twice as much aura
  • Egg Sense now cannot roll the same monsters in a row. (They can still reappear in future rolls)
  • Animation when defeating enemies
  • Neverending Potion greater blessing now gives you potions until you have 2 total, instead of only giving 2 potions if you have exactly 0.

Synergy Changes

  • Aquatic
    • Tier 1 & 2 Unchanged
    • Tier 3: Allies take 50% less damage from abilities and debuffs last 33% less time on them.
  • Bulky
    • Tier 1 No Change
    • Tier 2 Bulky monsters also add their Str to their Def
    • Tier 3 At the start of battle Bulky Monsters Add their Str to their Def, and their Def to their Str, then gain HP equal to Str + Def.
  • Elemental
    • Tier 1 & 2 Unchanged
    • Tier 3: For the first 12 seconds of battle reduce ALL damage taken by 50% of int.  After that reduce all damage taken by 25% of int for the rest of battle.
  • Guardian
    • Tier 1: Buffed from 10% Damage Reduction to 15%
    • Tier 2: 30% Damage Reduction and when an ally takes damage, if there is a guardian in the same row, redirect 25% of the damage to them.
    • Tier 3: 45% Damage Reduction, and 50% Damage Redirection to Guardians
  • Haunted
    • Tier 1 & 2 Unchanged
    • Tier 3: When an ally dies deal 100% of it’s str to all enemies every 2 seconds, ignoring def.
  • Magical
    • Tier 1: Changed from +10% Ability Damage and +1 Mana Regen to +20% ab dmg, +0.5 mana regen.
    • Tier 2: Changed from +35% ab dmg / +1.5 mana regen to +40% ab dmg / +1 mana regen
    • Tier 3: +60% ability damage, + 1.5 mana regen
  • Nature
    • Tier 1 Unchanged
    • Tier 2 Nerfed Healing bonus from +30% to +20%, Added +10% Str,Def,Int 
    • Tier 3 Monsters get +30% healing, +15 and +15% to Str,Def,Int. At the start of battle they gain +15% Max HP.
  • Tactician
    • Tier 1 & 2 Unchanged
    • Tier 3 affected allies also gain 30% Armor Penetration
  • Tenacious
    • Tier 1 Unchanged
    • Tier 2 buffed from +3 Str per hit to +4
    • Tier 3 +6 Str per hit, and Tenacious monsters gain a 20% chance to attack twice.

Items

2 new Potions: 

  • Remedy: Removes all debuffs and prevents any new ones for 6 seconds.
  • Whispering Draught: Silences a monster, and both enemies in the same row as it for 10 seconds. 
  • Many, many items’ unique abilities will scale with tempering now, up to 3 times.
  • Banner of Energy: Now has +50 Hp.  Nerfed from +20 Int to +5.
  • Banner of Power: Buffed from +20 HP to +50
  • Banner of Protection: Buffed from +20 HP to +50
  • Buckler: Capped the damage reduction to 80%.
  • Crystal Vial: Now gives +1 mana regen
  • Cursed Axe: Now gives 60 HP, Str buffed from 20 to 40, self damage increased from 5 to 10
  • Dancing Leaf Spear: Changed the debuff on 3rd attack, Increased the Str and Def penalty from -25% to -33% but the Str debuff only lasts for 1 attack.
  • Dragonfang Lance: Buffed from +5 Str to +15
  • Duelist’s Foil: Buffed from +5 Spd to +8 and from +5% damage per empty space to +10%.
  • Endless Quiver: Rain of Arrows active damage buffed from 50% Int to 100%
  • Finisher: Buffed bonus damage to targets below 50% from +25% damage to +50% 
  • Fortune Eater: Buffed from +10 Str to +20
  • Frostbite Tulwar: Changed from -25% Str & Int to -25% Damage and Healing done.
  • Harvester: Buffed from +40 Str to +50
  • Heavy Shackles: Buffed from +50 HP to +100
  • Humble Chalice: Now gives +1 mana regen.
  • Hydraquill Crest: Now gives +10 Str, buffed from +100 HP to +120
  • Living Root: Buffed from 5 hp per 3 seconds to 8 hp per 3 seconds
  • Magus Hat: Buffed from +10 Def to +20, and +20 Int to +30.
  • Mana Blade: Now gives +20 Int
  • Mana Shield: Now gives +80 HP and also deals 4% Int per mana spent to the attacker.
  • Master’s Sai: Buffed from +15 Str/Def/Int to +25
  • Mercurial Mace: Rarity increased from common to uncommon. Bonus attack damage on cast buffed from 15 to 25.
  • Ominous Idol: Buffed from +50 HP to +400. No longer has +Str,Int,Def,Spd. 
  • Plague Blade: Buffed from +10 Str to +25
  • Pulverizer: Buffed from +20 Str & Def to +25
  • Radiant Tome: Buffed from +17 Int to +27. Holy Wave active damage/Heal buffed from 40% Int to 50%
  • Repulsor: Changed from +15 Def for 10 seconds to +25 Def for 12 seconds, but can only activate once every 6 seconds.
  • Royal Banner: Buffed from +20 HP to +50, and now Gives 1% Super per second, instead of 2% every 3 seconds.
  • Shattershard: Buffed from +20 Def to +30
  • Silent Vow: Buffed from +20 HP to +100
  • Split-Tooth Spear: No longer has +Str. Each time it activates it now gives +13 Str.
  • Soul Renderer: Now also causes targets to receive 50% less healing.
  • Unerring Arrow: Buffed from +20 Str to +30
  • Vampire Fang: Buffed from stealing 5 HP to 7
  • Venomcurse Ring: Now gives +60 HP
  • Void Beacon: Buffed Mana Cost Reduction from -5 to -10
  • Vorpal Blade: Buffed from dealing 25% Str on attack to dealing 30% Str. 
  • Whispering Skull: Now gives +50 HP

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Saves losing their blessings.
  • Fixed some monsters’ names changing to generic versions after loading.
  • Fixed some monsters’ meters having a wider background after loading.
  • Fixed being able to go back to the beginning of the Map after loading
  • Fixed Loading allowing addition items to be merged with a monster after already using Forge Sparks 
  • Fixed Tempering merged items reverting the merged name.
  • Fixed Tempering cost not taking into account discounts, such as from the Sealed Tomb event
  • Fixed Tempering a merged item causing it to lose its sparkles 
  • Fixed Items in Forge Slots rendering over top of the map when open
  • Fixed Cursed with 3 stages being able to offer the 3 stage before taking the 2nd
  • Fixed Mana Shield incorrectly only reducing by half the amount
  • Fixed Plagued’s Contagious using the attacker’s Int instead of it’s own when applying poison after being hit.
  • Made Sweltering Heat only take 1 wound for each attempt. (It already was doing this but said it would cost 2)
  • Fixed the Sweltering Heat Event from allowing you to search 1 more time when you dont have enough wounds.

This is an amazing update. So many things and new stuff to try! Love it. And the Emitter nerf is the cherry on top <3
