Devtober Post Mortem


I'd consider this Devtober a success*, the goal was to complete the 2nd Zone and that was reached.

What went right:

Made a collection of new events, new enemies, encounter tables that were all necessary to make the new zone to feel different than the previous one.

Additionally made a new fundamental mechanic(super moves) which, while not originally key to the dev of zone 2, became a reward for beating zone 1.

QoL Fast Forward button to speed up battles if you want

Additional balancing and new items were also added for general improvements.


What went wrong:

Felt like there could have been more new enemies and events created. 

Also wanted to introduce a new type of event for interacting with items but didn't have time.

Been dealing with wrist pain most of the month.


Overall I really like many of the new things created the month, especially the super moves and the 2 larger new enemies.   I do feel as though it was a bit of a mistake to participate in Devtober this year, being a busy month and dealing with chronic pain.  Despite intentionally shooting for a conservative goal for the month.
