Halloween Season, Candy Contest and Balance!
Season Update, for the month of october
Costumes
a few monsters have a chance for alternate appearances for the halloween season-Candy, a special food, will now appear from Candy Baskets in treasure battles, as well as some events. These food items boost a specific stat by 12% but reduce a random one by 8%. These go off the base value so don’t worry about changing around your equipment to try to affect the results.
Candy Contest
Whoever finds the most candy in a single run of standard mode as well as infinite mode can suggest/design an alternate costume for 1 monster line of their choice. Screenshot your run stats including the candy count and post it in the comments section or in the discord. At the end of the month the player with the highest total in each mode wins. The same player can’t win both though.
Changes
General
- Loops Scale a bit harder in infinite mode to compensate for candy bonuses.
- Saboteur Synergy Rework. Tier 1: Saboteur monsters’ attacks cause the target to become unstable, dealing 15% damage they take to a random adjacent enemy. Tier 2, increases the damage to 20% to all adjacent enemies.
- Lucky synergy tier 2 now gives lucky monsters a 10% chance to deal double damage and take half damage (of all types). Both tiers also now mildly affect the a few events with success based on random chance, as well as the amount of aura found after battles.
- Winning all 3 flips in the Fortune Shrine now grants 1 [Lucky] synergy
- The Exchange event should no long be able to turn an item into itself
- In Battle Swap Cooldown cannot go below 1 second.
Monsters
- Chikia’s Str progression buffed from 26/50/90 to 26/52/104
- Chikia’s Fleet now also gives monsters who move +5 Spd, but only reduces the cooldown of swapping by 8 seconds.
- Chikia’s Apex now also reduces Rake’s attack count requirement from 5 attacks to 3.
- Chip’s Power Punch damage reduced from 250% Str to 200% Str but it now deals half the damage to the enemy behind the target as well.
- Chip’s Alchemize now gives +1 to str or def or int to any ally that eats food. (Still grants aura when chip eats)
- Chip’s Tectonics now also reduces the swap cooldown by 1 second when attacked too.
- Gheist’s Int progression buffed from 25/40/65 to 25/45/90
- Gheist’s Panic Str and Def reduction buffed from 25% to 35%.
- Gheist’s Haunt damage increased from 50% to 100%, and when Gheist dies Haunt the highest hp enemy for the rest of the battle.
- Gheist’s Terrifying End now also gives enemies -50% Def for the battle and stuns them for 1.5 seconds.
- Gheist’s Malice now also gives +3 Int when cursed enemies attack.
- Gora’s Def progression buffed from 13/25/45 to 15/30/60. T3 Hp from 700 to 720
- Gora’s Potency now causes Regrowth to reduce poison by 20% as well.
- Kabu’s Str progression buffed from 25/45/65 to 25/50/100 and HP from 110/220/450 to 130/270/550
- Kabu’s Impervious now also removes all debuffs when Strongshell activates
- Parra’s Tailwinds now cause Cyclone to give all other allies +4 Spd per Zephyr Stack for 6 seconds.
- Parra’s Tornado now also increases Cyclone’s damage per stack from 20% Int to 25%
- Mabek’s Balance now deals 200% Str + 15% Str per wound, instead of damage relative to fallen allies.
- Mabek’s Last Wish now affects adjacent allies as well. If there are no open spaces it will spawn in a random occupied space (Still requires a monster to move to it to activate).
- Mabek’s Swift Vengeance changed to cause Balance to hit an addition random enemy for each fallen ally.
- Mudgill’s HP Progression buffed from 120/280/575 to 140/280/600
- Mudgill’s Hunter’s Quarry now refunds 75% of mana on kill as well.
- Scutters Str progression buffed from 20/25/40 to 20/30/50
- Scutter’s Deathgrip buffed from 20% Str per second to 30%.
- Fixed Scutter occasionally losing def permanently and causing enemies to lose way more def than intended with steelshell in high loop infinite runs.
- Slagg’s Withdraw now heals twice a second (Same overall healing).
- Slagg’s Protective Slime now also causes enemies hit by Sticky Slime when casting to target Slagg with their next attack.
- Slagg’s Unkillable now also increase’s Withdraw’s bonus def by an addition 75.
- Strigeye’s Str progression buffed from 20/32/44 to 20/34/65. Spd from 24/25/35* to 24/26/28. Previous T3 Spd was incorrect.
- Strigeye’s Frenzy has been changed to now provide +1% Spd per 1% missing hp of the current attack target.
- Strigeye’s Ambush Mana Gain on kill changed to Strigeye attacking a wrapped up target steals 2 mana and gives it to other adjacent allies. Still starts with full mana.
- Tizik’s Lightning Rod visual effect will now only spawn if its not already present. This is just a cosmetic change to reduce how many sprites are being drawn.
- Tizik’s Discharge damage changed from 20% Str to 20% Int
- Tuskal’s Berserker can now stack up to 1 additional time.
- Tuskal’s Revenge buffed from giving 15% super gauge to 20% when an ally dies.
- Tuskal’s Fortuitous Immunity now allows it to fight through death for 6 seconds.
- Urso’s Hookclaws now causes Bleed for 0.25% of the targets max hp per second stacking up to 1% of max hp per second.
- Urso’s Shakeoff changed to every 4 seconds heal 2% max hp and remove a debuff. If one is removed instead heal 4% Hp and gain 5 Str.
- Woad’s Monstrous now causes Sap to fully affect enemies.
Items
- New Item: Bonebiter (Rare), +10 Str, +6 Spd, After attacking gain 20% Armor pen. If its 100%, deal 8% of the target’s Max HP and reset armor pen to 0.
- New Item: Giant’s Shortsword (Rare), +25 Str, -5 Spd. When attacking, repeat the attack on the enemy behind the target.
- New Item: Humble Chalice (Uncommon), +10 Def, +40 HP. After casting remove 1 debuff and reduce poison by the mana spent.
- New Item: Voodoo Doll(Uncommon), :+5 Int, +50 HP, Gain Saboteur Synergy. After taking damage deal 15% of it to the closest enemy.
- Bloodguard buffed from +35 Def. +200 HP to +40 Def, +300 Hp. Also no longer reduces mana regen.
- Frostbite Tulwar buffed from +10 Str & Int to +25
- Gravity Hammer now also deals 50% Def to the target.
- Ominous Idol buffed? The bonus Str increases by 1 with every activation.
- Repulsor’s visual effect now only appears on the monster wielding it. (Def bonus still applies to whole party)
- Unraveling Prism changed from +45 Str, +100 Hp, to +35 Str, +35 Def, +150 HP. Active ability now removes ALL buffs and debuffs from everyone. Allies heal for 5 hp, and enemies take 5 damage for each removed overall.
- Rune of Safe Passage (Greater Blessing) now grants all allies +15% of the removed monster’s HP, Str, Def, and Int instead of just 10% HP
Enemies
- Nerfed Voss’ Spd from 27 to 25, and Mana from 40 to 45
- Nerfed Plagued’s HP from 400 to 350
- Nerfed Emitter’s Feedback Poison from 50% Int to 15% Int. Buffed their Int stat from 20 to 40
- Nerfed Spur’s Scorch from dealing 100% Int to 20%, Buffed their Int stat from 15 to 60.
Other Stuff
- Fixed the Aura Stores Greater Blessing not saving any aura on loop
- Optimized the way some text is handled
- Optimized the way some special effects are spawned
- Hopefully helps a bit with memory usage!
